Nicole Sparks & Jenna Marwitz

In August of 2011, Nicole Sparks and Jenna Marwitz, two small-town girls from Brownwood, Texas, best friends and busy moms started a Facebook page to share slow cooker recipes with other time-strapped family and friends. Overnight thousands of people from around the country began “liking” their page and the simple page they started from their cell phones went viral! They had hit a hotspot of interest amongst busy families looking to prepare delicious home-cooked meals, but not having the time or know-how.

Ever since they’ve been the hottest things in slow cooking. Their very active Facebook community has more than 620,000 “Likes” and serves as a recipe rescue center for many who need help with what to cook for dinner, have a question about recipes, or just a gathering place to share their personal stories and tips. Their colorful and clean website (www.CrockinGirls.com) sees over 20,000 visits daily and only eight months after starting their Facebook page, the Crockin’ Girls had a Barnes & Noble Best-Selling cookbook, The Crockin’ Girls Slow Cookin’ Companion that is currently in it’s second printing and their first magazine, Crockin’ for the Holidays has hit nationwide newsstands. Everyday Jenna and Nicole hear from moms, dads, college students, even senior citizens, of how their recipes and cookbook help them to simplify their lives – something we all crave!
