Cranfills Gap sits in Bosque County with about 300 residents and Norwegian roots. Locals call it Norse Country. For one Saturday in October, Main Street closes and a town of 300 hosts 1,750.

Is admission really free?

Yes. Anyone can walk onto Main Street at no cost.

DO I NEED A TASTING PACK?

The pack unlocks samples, drinks, merch, and a People’s Choice vote. Walking the street, hearing the music, and watching the Final Table cost nothing.

CAN I BUY MORE THAN ONE PACK?

Yes, and a second pack means a second voting ticket.

CAN I USE A CARD INSIDE THE EVENT?

You can use case or card to buy a Tasting Pack at the pack window. Everything else runs on Tasting Pack tickets, with tips, raffles, and auction as the three cash and card exceptions.

CAN I BRING KIDS?

Kids are welcome.

Tear the voting ticket off your Tasting Pack and drop it in the People’s Choice box at your favorite team’s booth. The five teams with the most voting tickets advance.

THE FINAL TABLE

6:15 PM

The Top 5 present their best bacon dish live on the main stage, two minutes each, in front of seven judges and the crowd.

First through fifth place announced, with Best in Show and People’s Choice. 

HOW THE JACKPOT IS FUNDED.

It starts at a guaranteed $6,000 with no ceiling. Ten percent of every Tasting Pack sold before 7:30 PM rolls into the pool, and the running total is tallied in real time.

WHERE THE MONEY GOES.

Since 2012, Bacon Bash Texas has raised $1,039,000+ for children living with Type 1 Diabetes and for winter relief through Niki Warms the Cold. That includes $632,975 to Type 1 Diabetes families — 200 scholarships, 94 CGM units, and 106 camp experiences — plus $319,654 through Niki Warms the Cold in coats, blankets, and cash for Texans who needed warmth.

CHILDREN WITH TYPE 1 DIABETES

We fund CGM devices and summer camp scholarships so kids can live, learn, and play with confidence while parents get peace of mind.

NIKI WARMS THE COLD

Created in memory of Niki Carlson, this work provides coats, blankets, and cash for Texans in need. Each year Bacon Bash Texas donates proceeds and hosts a coat and blanket drive.
