Self-taught pitmaster Ernest Servantes has been able to incorporate ideas from the New American Cuisine, but with Texas flair, during his 20 year career. Known for his love and passion for barbecue, this self-professed “small town guy” has developed a near-cult following, he is a 50-time Grand Champion on the competition circuit. A celebrated fixture on the local barbecue competition since he was a teen, Ernest can still be seen on any given weekend competing in BBQ all across the Lone Star State. A Food Network Chopped Grill Masters Judge as well as Chopped Grill Masters Champion Ernest has appeared on several TV shows on the Food Network, Travel Channel and Destination America.
